What we fix

Real problems, real fixes

A sewer line repair is the right fix when a specific section of your main line has failed or is causing recurring problems. Common scenarios we repair include tree root intrusion at a joint, a cracked or fractured section, an offset joint from settling, or a pipe that's been damaged by shifting soil or foundation movement. We use a camera inspection to pinpoint the exact location and scope so we're only working on the section that actually needs it.

Depending on the situation, we repair via traditional open-trench excavation or trenchless methods (pipe bursting, cured-in-place pipe lining) where appropriate. Trenchless methods can often spare your landscape, driveway, or hardscape, but they're not always the best fit. We'll walk you through both options honestly, with the pros, cons, and costs of each.

Sewer repair work requires permitting and inspection in most East Valley jurisdictions. We handle the permit paperwork and coordinate the inspection so you don't have to.

Pricing Range

How much does sewer line repair cost in the Phoenix Valley?

Every job is a little different. The final price depends on the condition of your system, the scope of the work, and the parts required. That said, here's an honest starting range so you can plan. We'll always walk you through the full estimate before any work begins, and the price you see is the price you pay.

Low: $300

Average: $1,000

High: $6,000

Honest range based on real recent jobs. Final price is locked in during your on-site diagnostic — what you see is what you pay.

What factors affect the cost of sewer line repair?

  1. Location and depth of the damaged section

A shallow line under a lawn is faster and cheaper to access than a deeper line under a driveway or mature landscaping. The cost difference between 'grass we can re-seed' and 'concrete we have to cut and replace' is significant. We always map this before quoting.

  2. Traditional vs. trenchless approach

Trenchless methods cost more per foot but spare hardscape and landscape. For a line under a simple lawn, traditional excavation is often faster and cheaper. For a line under a driveway, patio, or mature trees, trenchless usually wins overall once surface restoration is factored in.

  3. Extent of the damage

A single offset joint is a localized repair. Multiple failures across a line usually point toward full replacement being the more economical long-term call. We'll be straight with you about which way the math points.

What to Expect

Our Process

The same three-step rhythm on every job. Diagnose first, price up front, then do the work and stand behind it.

1

Step 1: Camera inspection and written plan

We start with a sewer camera inspection to locate and scope the damage precisely. You get the footage, a written report, and options — spot repair vs. trenchless vs. full replacement — with pricing broken out for each.

2

Step 2: Permit, schedule, and prep

Once you approve the repair plan, we pull any required permits, schedule the inspection with the jurisdiction, and coordinate access to the work area. For trenchless work, we confirm access points. For open-trench, we mark the excavation footprint and coordinate utility locates (811).

3

Step 3: Repair, test, and restore

We complete the repair, test the system for proper flow and operation, and have the work inspected and approved where required. Open-trench areas are backfilled and rough graded, and landscape or hardscape restoration can be coordinated depending on the scope of the project.

Testimonial

"Friendly, professional, knowledgeable."

Amazing company. My house is older and full of quirks and unexpected problems, and Superstition Plumbing has always been incredibly responsive and helpful every time I've needed them. Sewer line cracked? No problem. Valves frozen in place, hose spigot spraying uncontrollably, or lines clogged? No problem. Everyone is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and they arrive exactly when they say they will. 11/10 would recommend.
